Advent Rising is a game where a legend that permeates the galaxy is that of an ancient, powerful race who will unite the entire universe one day. Many cultures on distant planets venerate and honor these mythical beings called humans. The Seekers are a race that knows humans exist and is threatened by their power. The Seekers, posing as benevolent scientists and explorers travel across the galaxy to eliminate any human societies they find. The players assume the role Gideon Wyeth. He is a remnant from the last human outpost who is about to discover the incredible powers lying dormant inside him. These are the powers that the Seekers want to suppress.
