The Roaring Twenties was an era filled with glamour, promise, and excess; one such place being Coral Gables, Florida where real estate prices are on an unprecedented run-up allowing ordinary individuals like Alfie Banks the chance at riches through real estate sales. Alfie finds much more than expected when his mob connections, the Great Depression looming large, and Florida's idyllic waterfront threatening total destruction by hurricane. Along his path are unscrupulous salesmen, bootleggers, corrupt politicians, shady salespeople and bootleggers as he deals with them all to reach success in real estate business. All while immersed in events surrounding its establishment.
